In 1886, baseball wasn’t just a sport - it was a community cornerstone where the crack of a wood bat was inextricably linked to the conviviality of the local pub. The San Francisco Pelicans’ and Alcatraces' Suds & Sandlots series honors this timeless partnership, celebrating the era when the Gentleman’s Game was fueled by local ales and neighborly competition.
The Ultimate Community Doubleheader
Suds & Sandlots is designed to celebrate the spirit of the game by pairing local baseball and local hops. We aim to specialize in organizing unique sandlot-style matches at some of the most iconic fields in the region. Whether we are playing by 1886 rules or keeping it casual with sandlot vibes, our goal is to create an immersive, high-energy atmosphere that honors the heritage of baseball while building lasting community ties.
From the Diamond to the Taproom
The fun doesn't end with the final out, it simply moves to a local brewery. Our events are designed to drive ballists and cranks directly from the diamond to a local taproom for a curated postgame happy hour.
